"The Shepherdess and the Bone-White Bird" is what the band believes to be their best work ever. It is available as an LP or an LP+CDr set. The album comes with a booklet full of lyrics and psychedelic illuminations. Limited edition vinyl - the CD version will not arrive until 2010.

The third in our series of expanded Stone Breath CDs is available for pre-order. "Lanterna Lucis Viriditatis" will be a 2CD set - the first CD is the original version - the second CD adds many rare and previously unreleased tracks.

The release of this CD set, along with the first two expanded Stone Breath CDs, effectively replaces the compilation "The Long Lost Friend: a patchwork," in the Stone Breath catalog. All of the songs from that compilation are now available again.
The next Stone Breath release in the series will be "Knotwork," a collection of eps, rarities, and unreleased tracks mostly dating from the later period of the band (post-Lanterna up to now). It will be presented in the same format as the other expanded CDs in the 'hollerpak' covers. We will then concentrate on "The Silver Skein Unwound" expanded - which will add only one new song, but will feature new artwork and the complete illuminated booklet from the original.

We are beginning to offer digital downloads of some music directly from our site.
Some of our titles are available via iTunes, Amazon mp3, Rhapsody, and etc - while some are unavailable for digital download. This is usually the decision of the artist, and we will continue to respect that.
However, we will be making some songs available here that, for whatever reasons, are not available from those other sources. The first of these is Mourning Cloak's "Stargazer" ep (all 3 songs). We will add more music soon.
The digital downloads work just like our regular products - just add them to your cart - after paying, you will be sent a link to the song(s).

Dark Holler and Hand/Eye are pleased to announce Woven Wheat Whispers as the official and approved digital distribution service for our releases. Some of our releases will be available from other services (iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon mp3, etc), but ALL of our releases approved for digital distribution will be available from Woven Wheat Whispers. Additionally, you can be sure if you see our realeases on Woven Wheat Whispers, that it is legal and label-approved.
Some of our releases are not going to be available for digital distribution, by request of the artist. we will, of course, always honor this.

Ghost Eye Seeker from Crow Tongue is available now.
This will be followed shortly by two more Crow Tongue albums:
"The Red Hand Mark" presents an album which comes much closer to the Crow Tongue live sound - based mainly on guimbri-banjo and drums. Heavy, primitive, tribal...
and "Prophecies and Secrets: the Red Hand Mark in dub" is the source material from the "Red Hand Mark" sessions reimagined and reassembled into something wholly new. Not a traditional dub album, but an experimental assemblage using the techniques and exploratory spirit of dub to create something new from tracks already put to tape.
Speaking of dub: we've added some essential dub and roots reggae titles to the catalog from the likes of Lee "Scratch" Perry and the Upsetters; Twilight Circus Sound System; Yabby U; Augustus Pablo; and Michael Rose. This may seem like a bit of a sidestep for us, but it's music we completely love and we feel it fits comfortably beside other psychedelic and experimental musics from genres represented here.
Crow Tongue will be playing with OVO on May 3, 2008 at the Shamrock in Belair Maryland.
