Jug Fusion Jug Fusion
CDr JugFus1
It´s Blind Willie Johnson vs Godzilla. It´s Fat Albert's junkyard band on acid. Our friend and sometimes conspiritor, Shane Speal, reinvents the blues centered around his obsession, cigarbox guitars. The music roams from heavier pieces to jug band sounding numbers to raw blues.
Jumbo's Killcrane "The Slow Decay" CBR42 CD
The 4th album from Kansan Doom-Prog juggernauts JUMBO'S KILLCRANE. Leaner, darker, and far more crushing than their previous releases, The Slow Decay finds the Killcrane in an altogether apocalyptic frame of mind, unleashing subsonic frequencies that resonate with the decay of ages. Their monstrous riffs are more angular than ever, but this new manifesto also delivers soaring, stygian melodies that earlier releases only hinted at. Haunting and heartbreakingly heavy, the trio wind together barbed-wire hooks that snarl themselves around snail's pace rhythms and tarpit riffs.
Language of Light "Inside the Head of a Butterfly Dreaming of Being a Giant Moth Destroying Tokyo" etedrone musak CDr
Language of Light is the love child of Frank Suchomel of Inalonelyplace (Ethedrone Muzac) and R. Loftiss of The Gray Field Recordings (AntiClock Records).
The music blends guitar exacerbation with the swinging good times of a lobster quadrille. It is better than a sharp stick in the eye and has a crescent fresh feeling.
Limited to 50 numbered. Handmade stamp on fiberboard case.
Lycia "Estrella" CD silber040

|
Estrella was Lycias last proper studio album (Empty Space was unfinished and Tripping Back Into The Broken Days was recorded and mixed as an Estraya release). The songs on Estrella were originally written in 1996 & fleshed out over a fifty show tour. Eight years later, Mike VanPortfleet has revisited the songs to remaster them using the engineering skills hes improved over this time as well as the improvements of technology to make a definitive version of the release uncompromised by the hands of others. The artwork has been restored to the original version, unaltered from the artistic vision meant to match the music.
The goal of Estrella was to mix the lush orchestral sound VanPortfleet had developed over the previous eight years that had culminated in Cold with the more up-tempo rhythmic style of Wake & the unreleased Byzantine era. Estrella also marks Tara VanFlowers move to primary vocalist & lyricist, enlarging the bands ethereal fan base. Estrella became an instant hit within the darkwave genre, but now is the time to realize its a classic that transcends genre barriers.
Lycia "The Burning Circle and Then Dust" CD silber048
The classic darkwave album remastered by Lycia frontman Mike VanPortfleet & released in this definitive version.
"Keyboards wash over the listener as drums & guitars weave a hypnotic spell. Reminiscent of the Cocteau Twins' older material, Lycia's music is more quixotic & atmospheric"
